If you like beaches you will be very pleased with Chios. Whether you like long sandy beaches, with or without people, deserted coves, sand, pebbles whatever, Chios has it. For those who have been to Greece before and are used to the Cycladeds where you have a choice of a half-dozen or so beaches, Chios will be a feast for you. You will need a car to get to them all and you will need a month on the island as well. For those who don't want to drive you can stay in Karfas, Emporio, Komi or any of the other beach towns that have hotels. For those who choose to rent a car start anywhere and visit a beach or two a day til its time to go. These are just a few of the many beaches in Chios. Click on them to see full-size. |
